When and how did you first get interested in the Commercial Real Estate Industry?
I came into the CRE by chance.
What was your path to where you are now?
My first job when I moved to Edmonton was in residential real estate and then it seemed like a very
natural progression to commercial real estate by way of brokerage. Six years later I questioned if I even
liked real estate and I took a year off but ultimately missed the work, came back and can honestly say I
If you were asked to give one piece of career advice to someone entering the commercial real
estate sector, what would it be and how has this guidance helped your career?
Learn everything you can. Talk to people that have been in the industry for 30+ years. They’ve got
stories to tell and you can learn so much from them. The real estate history they have to share cannot
be found anywhere else and can have a huge impact on how you view the industry and landscape.
