Dear Edmonton CREW Members,
I hope that you and your loved ones have remained safe and healthy. I also hope that you have found time to enjoy your summer, taking time to relax and re-energize for the year ahead.
As I sit and reflect on my last couple of months on my chapter presidency, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for my Board of Directors. While navigating during a pandemic, we were able to provide value to our membership by offering a wide array of networking events, educational programs, and professional development, both in-person and virtual events. In addition, we had presented the first ever industry collaboration event with NAIOP, BOMA, CHBA, UDI, ULI, Realtors of Edmonton, and AREF for the Mayoral Forum with the Mayoral Candidates in September. I would like to personally thank the 2021 BOD for another great year. While we remain virtual for the time being, our commitment to providing excellence in programming and networking opportunities remains steadfast. Over the last ten months, Edmonton CREW, Canadian CREW Chapters, and CREW Network have provided more programming in a typical year – many of which were complimentary to Edmonton CREW members. The value is in the numbers:
- 7 Webinars
- 7 Professional Development Seminars
- 6 Dine Arounds
- 4 Social Event
- 5 Cup of CREW Events
- 2 Wine Wednesdays
- 2 Leadership Summit
- 1 CREW Network Convention
- 1 Annual General Meeting
I encourage you to explore all that Edmonton CREW, collaborating Canadian CREW chapters, and CREW Network continues to offer.
We are continuously learning, adapting, and moving forward. We have been very busy planning our programming for 2022 and our signature Breaking Ground Event for the Fall of 2022. Be on the lookout for a full calendar of events and opportunities to get involved.
As we round the final quarter of 2021, I would encourage you to renew your memberships. If you think there are others that would find Edmonton CREW valuable, please encourage them to join now as they would receive 15 months for the price of 12 months. If you have already renewed your membership, thank you! As always, please feel free to contact the Edmonton CREW Admin directly with any questions or concerns with paying your membership dues for this year.
One final note, corporate sponsorships are now available for 2022. Sponsoring Edmonton CREW provides you the unique opportunity to showcase your company’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive CRE industry by supporting the advancement of all women in the Edmonton commercial real estate community.
Edmonton CREW is about to embark on another fantastic year with Laura Way-Olenek as 2022 Chapter President. I look forward to seeing you at our future events, and I welcome your feedback, energy, and involvement!
Edmonton CREW, President
