Spring has finally sprung! As trees are starting to bud, grass is getting greener, there is a newfound energy in the air. As we reflect on the first quarter of 2021, I am so proud of what Edmonton CREW has accomplished. We are offering our members a diverse array of events presented by CREW Network, affiliate Canadian CREW Chapters, partnered events with Edmonton CREW and NAIOP Edmonton. Topics that have been covered include: Embracing Allyship & Inclusion, Global Real Estate Market Outlook, Conversation on the CREW Network Benchmark Study, How to CREW (formerly known as CREW 101), and many more. Annually, CREW participates in the planning meetings to help shape the topics discussed at the Edmonton Real Estate Forum, we are involved with the U of A Industry Night Event, and we present a Case Study to students at the U of A each fall semester.
You may have noticed that we have a new look that we launched in January. Edmonton CREW has adopted the corporate logo of CREW Network and we are aligned with Network’s mission to transform the commercial real estate industry by advancing women globally. The logo portrays a forward-facing arrow which symbolizes moving forward and advancement.
We are continuing to keep our members engaged and you may have noticed we have launched CREW Cohorts. These cohorts are led by our Board of Directors and a CREW Past President. As many of us are feeling the fatigue in “zooming”, these cohorts are meant to allow for more intentional connections. Geared towards getting to know one another and how we can elevate one another by business opportunities and networking.
As we look ahead, our Events and Education Committees are hard at work planning exciting events for the nearing months. We will continue to collaborate with Network and affiliate Canadian chapters to bring you interesting and engaging events / topics. Stay connected with us on our social platforms, website, and newsletters and continue to stay engaged via CREW Cohorts and attending the events. We look forward to things going back to normal and until then, we hope our members stay safe and stay well. Happy Spring and enjoy the outdoors!
Edmonton CREW, President
